Specification
- A pair of KT88's delivering 100W clean headroom and 204W maximum power.
- Custom built transformers - a big part of the sound.
- Two channels - Heaven (clean) and Hell (dirty). The Hell Channel has been voiced to deliver convincing Death Metal tones and still clean up beautifully if you wind the guitar volume control down.
- Tube soft-switching so you can footswitch between channels and/or blend with the channel level controls. You can get some complex tonal shaping running both channels at once. The tube combiners prevents channel interaction when not blended.
- EL84 class A overdrive generator in the pre-amp for power amp overdrive at low levels. The level of drive onto the EL84 is controlled by the channel level controls.
- Tube effects loop. The FX send can be used as a record out or to drive another slave amp as it does not disconnect the pre-amp from the power amp when a cable is inserted. The FX return does disconnect the pre-amp when a cable is inserted so you can run another preamp into the power stage if desired. The loop has been set up so that you can overdrive the recovery triode for more distortion/gain with a clean boost in the loop if desired.
- Independent bias control per power tube.
- The matching 4 x 12 slant cabinet is loaded with 4 x Eminence Governors. The cabinet is therefore rated at 300W.
- The amp is finished in hand-stitched New Zealand leather hide and mirror finish stainless steel.
- The circuit is built in a 3 dimensional modular method to allow quick voice replacement
